The Wind Engineering TeamIntroductionThe Wind Engineering Research Team was created at the VUB in the beginning of 2007, in the framework of a collaboration agreement between the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the IDR/UPM Institute of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. The main objective of the team is to collaborate with the Belgian industry interested in wind tunnel research projects (architecture, civil and mechanical engineering, ...).The Wind Engineering Research Team offers to the industry a wide experience in wind engineering projects carried out in a wind tunnel, from wind pressure measurements in scale models for the construction of emblematic buildings, to the direct wind forces measurements on building construction elements, or wind velocity measurements in the surroundings of civil structures.
