Dr. Ir. Ahmad Mashayekhi received the B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2008, the M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, in 2019. He was an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sirjan University of Technology, Sirjan, Iran, from 2019 to 2022. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Robotics & Multibody Mechanics group of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He was a visiting scholar with the PRISMA Lab, University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Mashayekhi was the recipient of a bronze medal in the Physics Olympiad in 2002 and is honored by several national and international RoboCup competitions.
Research interests
His current research interests include haptics, stability, friction modeling, time delay, numerical optimization, mechatronics, robotics, and human-robot interaction. Recently, he has been working on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and knowledge graphs.
