Elias Thiery is a PhD researcher at the Robotics and Multibody Mechanics (R&MM) research group of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the VUB in 2021 and 2023, respectively. During his studies, he acquired skills in fields such as mechanical design (CAD), prototyping and electronic systems. In 2023, he contributed to the AI4EXO project by mechanically and electronically redesigning an active shoulder exoskeleton. As of 2024, his research focuses on the mechanical and electronic design of occupational exoskeletons using remote actuation, as well as that of lower limb prosthetics.
