Joseph Jezic von Gesseneck was born in Sarajevo, former Yugoslavia, in 1988. He received his Master in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering from Imperial College London in 2009. From 2009, he has been working in the Multibody Mechanics and Robotics research group at VUB and the Belgian nuclear research center SCK-CEN, Mol, to develop safe remote manipulators for the Generation-IV heavy-liquid-metal-cooled reactor types (implementing the results in MYRRHA) under a joint VUB-Association Vinçotte Nuclear PhD grant.
