In February of 2022 I received the degree of Doctor of Engineering Sciences. The focus of my research is on safe, comfortable, and efficient human-robot interactions. During my PhD I have studied various fields such as 3D printing of biosensors, AI for motion classification, personalized design for wearable robots, etc.

In 2022 I became a finalist of the Kuka Innovation Award where I integrate the technologies I developed during my PhD into a novel rehabilitation device for the upper limbs.

My research on the next generation of physical human-robot interfaces is supported by a 3-year post-doc grant from the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO).
