Lennert is a MSc. in Business Engineering from Solvay/VUB and Winner of the Solvay Schools Alumni Award 2014. On completing his studies, Lennert started a 2-year management traineeship at ORMIT, a business seconding young, recently graduated university high-potentials as consultants to large multinationals. After finishing this programme, Lennert's feel for technology and entrepreneurship took him to BruBotics, where he is active today as a Research & Innovation manager. In this role, he has amongst others helped in the creation and € 2.4M seed funding of spin-off Axiles Bionics.

As Research & Innovation manager, Lennert’s job is 3 folded

  1. Act as liaison with the industry and from their needs set-up new research projects and help secure the needed funding.
  2. Assess the potential of the research outcomes of running research projects towards valorization.
  3. Develop novel spin-off ventures using our research outcomes.
