Pieter Beyl was born in Anderlecht (Brussels, Belgium) in 1982. He received the master of science degree in mechanical engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2005. Currently, he's a researcher with a IWT-bursary. His research is in the field of rehabilitation robotics, aiming at the design, construction and control of powered exoskeletons for gait training in mobility impaired patients.
