WP1: Clinical Framework

Robot-enhanced therapy (RET) revolves around effective interventions. In DREAM, we adopt three types of intervention: joint-attention, imitation, and turn-taking.

The goals of this work package are to analyse these three RET interventions and component tasks to cast them as a set of detailed therapy procedures. Furthermore, each intervention will be analysed to identify the required behaviours of the robot, the child behaviours that can be understood by the robot, and hence the sensory and perceptual requirements of the robot. This analysis will be made in close collaboration with the end-users including ASD children, their parents, therapists, teachers and autism centres. Finally, a manual of best practice on RET will be produced.
